sweet sixteen :)

birthday party!! nice turnout, had a blast hanging out with the family and friends... i was especially blessed to have my cousins from VA in town AND my grandparents from NY come for the party. sooo great to see them and share this special day with them :)

side note before we get on to pictures... i really have no idea who took half of them. i think my mom's camera got passed around. anyways, pc goes to Emily, my mom, Aunt Cindy, and whoever else had her camera. ;) also thanks to Mr. Moore for letting me use some of his pictures too :)

random happenings of the last few weeks.

this is from the Ag Farm... seriously, i didn't change the colors at all, that's what the sky looked like. it was beautiful.

so.... our dishwasher broke. =/ only for a day, because my handy-dandy daddy fixed it when he got home from work... but i mean, do you have any idea how many dishes a family of 4 can use in ONE DAY?!?!? a lot. i spent an hour and a half handwashing this whole bunch of dishes. -.-

Otto went to his first babysitter... Uncle Mike :) he is beginning to enjoy car rides a bit more... but he has this thing for climbing up on your seat and laying across your shoulders... he thinks it's comfortable? maybe it is for him... lol :)

So then we had a labor day picnic at Ellen and Dave's house. it was fun to see a whole bunch of my family i don't usually get to see that much. Emily, Cassidy, Allie and I then went to sit on the front porch and procceeded with the weirdest photoshoot ever. i might get murdered for posting some of these pictures... so come to my funeral. :D

one last time...

The Nams are going home today. so i went to visit. and say goodbye to them. and goodbye to thier house, one last time. so many memories there. such good memories.

it was sad.

but God knows what he's doing.

He has a plan even when we can't see what it is.

so we don't have to be sad.

because we can trust in his plan.

but I'll still miss them.

Ocean City :)

so picture this. you just got home from a dentist appointment, where they poked and prodded and poked some more until your mouth hurts like crazy. they also tell you that you need to get your wisdom teeth out... hooray. =/ so you walk in the front door and dump your stuff on the floor. too lazy to do anything else with it. you wanna grab a good book and curl up on your bed until your mouth stops hurting.

then you hear your mom and your uncle talking in the kitchen.

"i'd love to take them, if it's ok with you."
"it's fine with me, as long as brian says it's ok."

curiosity heightened. go where? is he talking about us?

"hey girls, come here a sec."

yes. he's definitely talking about us. so... where are we going?

"do you guys wanna go to ocean city with me for a day or two?"

duuuuh. yes. :)

45 minutes later Emily and I were packed and loading our bags in Uncle Mark's truck. waved goodbye to my mom on the front porch... and we were on the way.

i just have to say that random and spontaneous vacations are absolutely the best :)

and now on to the pictures...


so the first night, after we unpacked, we headed to the Boardwalk. it was beautiful weather, simply gorgeous. the moon was already out before the sun had gone down, and it made for some cool pictures :)

dinner at the boardwalk consisted of a bucket of boardwalk fries and fresh sqeezed lemonade. so what if it's not healthy? it's yummy :)

next day we went to the beach. much fun. i got a tan. :) (and a slight burn... but we won't talk about that ;)

i love wave pictures... the faces emily makes when she gets smacked by a big cold wave... priceless ;)

soooo randomly the Vigils were also vacationing in Ocean City that week, so we met them down on the beach for a few hours to play. the girls had a blast jumping waves and splashing each other :)

later on that night we played putt putt (i got TWO holes in one :D), went out for ice cream, watched Top Chef ("wait, whyyy did your food taste bad again?" "aaahhh, don't say it!!!!" lol) and hung out. i had to be at church by 1:30 for auditions, so after Dunkin Donuts and Sunsations we left for home around 10am. I prolly should have taken more pictures... but i was too busy having a blast ;) thanks so much Uncle Mark!!!
